I never claimed to be the forum police, although it may be cool for a day. I was simply agreeing to what durbster said, he has a valid point. This thread is titled 'Schumacher to Mercedes?' not go-karts versus F1.
Guest teams are not just there to set an example for us. They are there to give an indication as to how a perspective team would perform if they were to move to a league such as MoE, iirc this is a 'feeder' series?
Although I agree that 2nd place is not 1st place if the guest team wins, but it would also be very rewarding if a GTAL team pipped the guest team to the win - so it works both ways.
Thats going against the principle of 'Amateur' league! :P Just kidding
Regarding the race, well anything can happen. Doesn't take much for some nub to come off and drive back into traffic
For the FXR 23's should be top, maybe brushing 22s light. 1 stop looks to be out of the question, tyres (front) are barely driveable (understeer) after 1h.10min.
One thing I forgot to state. I believe that Rockingham has to be paid for (don't quote me on this). If that is this case will the above statement still stand?
It might be an idea if you put something about it on the calendar now, so next to the AS3r put Rockingham if released or something. That way your tracks are covered and you don't have any sad S2 faces.
Just a thought. I know that this conversation isn't really necessary as it has allot of 'ifs' involved.
Just out of interest, with the announcement of the Rockingham circuit addition. Would there be potential to include this (if it is released in time) to the calender, either by dropping one of the tracks, or by possibly adding an extra round.
I'll second that. We've been using the Alienserve servers for the GT Series. No problems what so ever. If your stuck with anything they are more than happy to help.
They also provided us with a S3 License to donate to the winner of the league.
Haha you don't half ramble on. What is this, real driv... i mean, F1 drivers vs Karters?
'Odd really investing so much time in go-karts for 8 year olds innit.'
'But F1 drivers are supposed to be 'the best of the best' and karts are for 8 year olds'
'Here's the crazy thing. Schumacher clearly is demonstrating he wouldn't dream of entering a kart race in a hotal car park in Las Vegas without doing a significant amount of driving and testing. Yet in F1 you have to jump in without any testing bar some days in an old car.'
You must be insecure about something, maybe deep down you actually think karts are for 8year olds and these statements are your way of trying to hide your insecurity? :P
Or did you just fail to progress from karts?
Not trying to bitch, just woundering what all those comments stem from.
